We’re seeking a Managed Care Contract Manager to join us. This is a remote position.
As a Managed Care Contract Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs), insurance companies, and other payers on behalf of Zotec clients. This role ensures that contracts align with organizational goals, optimize reimbursement, and comply with regulatory requirements. The manager also monitors contract performance and collaborates with internal teams to resolve issues and improve financial outcomes.

We’re seeking a Managed Care Contract Manager to join us. This is a remote position.
As a Managed Care Contract Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs), insurance companies, and other payers on behalf of Zotec clients. This role ensures that contracts align with organizational goals, optimize reimbursement, and comply with regulatory requirements. The manager also monitors contract performance and collaborates with internal teams to resolve issues and improve financial outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Negotiate contract terms, rates, and reimbursement structures with managed care organizations and third-party payers
- Analyze contract language, fee schedules, and payment methodologies to ensure accuracy and profitability
- Maintain and manage a portfolio of payer contracts, including renewals and amendments
- Monitor contract performance, reimbursement trends, and payer compliance
- Assist in resolving underpayments, denials, and contract discrepancies
- Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, legal, and operations teams to support contract execution and optimization
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations
- Develop reports and dashboards to track contract performance and key metrics
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payer relationships and escalations
- Stay current on industry trends, payer policies, and regulatory changes
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred)
- 3–7+ years of experience in managed care contracting, healthcare finance, or payer relations
- Experience negotiating contracts with commercial insurers, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid plans
- Strong negotiation and contract analysis skills
- Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (e.g., fee-for-service, DRG, capitation, value-based care)
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or data analysis tools
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Experience with contract management systems or payer analytics tools
- Familiarity with revenue cycle operations
- Certification such as HFMA, CPC, or similar
